Zaher Jureidini is a Lebanese cinematographer who splits his time between Prague, Beirut and Berlin. He earned his master's degree in Cinematography from FAMU in Prague in 2023. Zaher's work focuses on a range of themes, from those rooted in social and critical narratives to others exploring diverse artistic expressions. He specializes in shooting various types of visual projects, including short films, music videos, art videos, and commercials, having worked in Lebanon, the SWANA region, and Europe.
Notable among his recent projects is "Sea Salt" (2023), a Czech-Lebanese short film by Leila Basma, which premiered at the 80th Venice Film Festival. In 2024, Zaher was selected as a cinematography fellow at the Busan International Film Festival Asian Film Academy.
In addition to cinematography, Zaher is also involved in curatorial work and film research, focusing on the way moving images can shape political and historical narratives.
